Humans become better by improving researching and improving upon our existing technologies. While do research on important scientific fronts, new innovative solutions to old problems can be found. The only way for the human species to move forward is to implement new ideas and technologies that are developed and created. It is imperative that we accept these new inventions with an open embrace, it would be counterproductive to not do so. Stem cell research is one frontier that has been a controversial practice, the idea of using aborted fetuses to do research on and use is deemed immoral by many religious zealots and proponents of pro-life.
Stem cell research if unhindered, its potential can be realized and many ailments and disabilities can be healed.

Stem cells are the origin of all the other different cells in our bodies. Stem cells are found in a multitude in the early stages of fetus during life. These cells will eventually becomes specialized and may end up forming muscles, s, organs and virtually every part of the human body. Thought stem cells also having internal repairing capabilities since stem cells are known to turn into whatever nearby cells are in the stem cell’s environment. It is because of just unique characteristics that give the stem cells so much potential in the medical field to heal and whole array of problems from cardiovascular diseases to paralysis. Only with continued support and lack of obstacles, stem cell research can be progressed and soon many diseases that were once untreatable can be finally be removable.

Currently stem cell research is receiving opposition from right wing conservatives in America. Many of these people will argue life begins at conception so aborting fetuses is equivalent to murder.

Stem cells have the power to help end many diseases that plague people today. One such disease that stem cells can help prevent is mesothelioma. Right now there are limited treatments to this fatal disease though stem cell  research has the means to stop mesothelioma from ever effecting our lungs. According to MD, John C. Morris with the right therapy stem cells can help condition human lungs to fight back against the disease.

So far as a i student in college i am not at the level of performance i wished i would be at. I know that i have much potential to become a much better student in class and out of class meaning there is still much room from improvement by adding more to the class discussions or strengthening my  work ethic especially for major assignments.

Review of my argumentative essay 
My essay is still in a very raw stage, there are some formatting issues and problems with the sources. I have good examples but i need to find a way to incorporate them into the essay so they will give maximum support for my thesis. For now i would give my self a C since the essay is lacking vital components.

Some questions for the other groups i have include: is your thesis supported by your evidence?, Does your thesis make a statement that can be proven or disproved?

Active Reading
When it comes to reading anything whether it be an article or a novel I usually read while in my head retaining certain key information such as the setting, characters and sometimes certain ideas  or objects that reoccur.  When it comes to annotating text i wont bother with the obvious, the obvious will be highlighted but then usually my annotation will be my understanding of what the author is trying to get across or it could be an analysis of something said. Through the use of active reading one can help understand articles no matter what the content.
